Recommended Use
IBI provides phenol chloroform solution at a pH of 8.0 ± 0.1for use in typical DNA
purification.
Example: To purify 400 mL of sample, add 400 mL of Phenol Chloroform solution.
Storage
Phenol Chloroform Solution is prepared from ultra-pure, double-distilled phenol,
chloroform, and isoamyl alcohol. The product is packaged under an inert gas for maximum
stability. Store at room temperature . Keep tightly sealed.
Warning
Poison! Corrosive. Combustible, suspected carcinogen. May be harmful or fatal if
swallowed. Avoid breathing fumes. Avoid contact with eyes, skin and clothing. Wash all
areas of contact with copious amounts of water. See Material Safety Data Sheet for
