Materials

Acrylic has proven to be a reliable material that can be used in many ways, with definite advantages over glass.

Acrylic Vs. Glass

• Lighter - Acrylic is 1/2 the weight of glass.

• Stronger - Acrylic is 6 to 17 times stronger than glass.

• Flexible - Acrylic is not rigid, making it more impact-resistant than glass.

• Clarity - Acrylic allows 92% of light while glass only allows 70%.

• Insulative - Acrylic is a thermoplastic, enabling it to insulate much better than glass.

• Seamless - Acrylic can be molecularly bonded producing extremely strong joints.

• Machinable - Acrylic can be cut, drilled, or routed with little loss of strength.

• Color - Acrylic comes in hundreds of solid, translucent, and mirrorized colors.
