Recommended Use
An ionic detergent used to denature proteins in hybridization, nucleic acid purification
and electrophoresis.
10% SDS Solution: Dissolve 100g of SDS in 900 ml of H2O. Heat to 68oC to assist
dissolution. Adjust the pH to 7.2 by adding a few drops of HCl. Adjust the volume to 1
liter with H2O. Dispense into aliquots.
Storage
IBI SDS should be stored at room temperature. Protect from moisture.
Warning
Irritant. Causes irritation to eyes, skin and mucous membranes. Avoid breathing dust. Wash
thoroughly with water after handling. Do not take internally. See Material Safety Data
